Cockatoo Magic is a whimsical, eye-catching picture book about a young girl named Ellie and her bird friend Snowy, a Sulphur Crested Cockatoo. Ellie and Snowy enjoy frolics and games at home but deep-down Ellie dreams of flying high in the sky with Snowy, beyond the reaches of her backyard. But the outside world can be overwhelming, it can be scary, loud, and strange.

One day Snowy invites Ellie on such an adventure which gently challenges those beliefs and leads her to realise she is far more courageous than she realises.

Illustrations by Nana Sakata are a myriad of swirling colour that lift the story right off the page.  Cockatoo Magic casts a spell of the heart that speaks of friendship, trust, courage, and resilience.

Recommended for children aged 3 to 7 years.
